The Process
Youth are nurtured and monitored by qualified, experienced staff 24 hours a day under our Social Model Detoxification. Medical staff complete a detailed health history and physical examination for each client and assist youth in making their withdrawal from alcohol and drugs as comfortable as possible. A focus on health, safety and nutrition is primary. The physical detoxification process itself usually lasts from 3-7 days depending on substances ingested. The detox placement with Venture Academy is 10 days with the possibility of extension.
