Introduction
Venture Academy's Outreach Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program
provides a full spectrum of substance abuse treatment, counselling,
and support services for youth.

Description
There are five distinct yet integrated program segments. Each
segment represents a phase of client involvement in the program.
Phase completion time depends on client willingness, motivation,
and movement towards identified goals.

Objectives
Venture Academy's mission is to provide integral and effective
substance abuse treatment, counselling, and support services for
youth and young adults. This focus enables our staff to channel
energy where it has been proven most effective.

Profile
Venture Academy's Outreach Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program
serves a client population who may have a history of substance
abuse and related issues. Clients accessing the program may be
demonstrating behavioural challenges and experiencing emotional
difficulties intertwined with alcohol or drug abuse.
Academics
For many youth, the academic arena presents
challenges and obstacles, which seem nearly impossible to overcome,
especially when dealing with the added burden of substance abuse.
Academics are not put on hold while participating in treatment.
At the Venture Academy drug and Alcohol Treatment Program, individualized
educational plans are developed with the students based on academic
assessments and/or transcripts of schools previously attended.

Skills
At Venture Academy we have developed and offer
a variety of personal growth modules targeting essential developmental
tasks and life skills, which all youth must face at some point
during their adolescence.
Recreational
Adventures
At Venture Academy, youth have the opportunity
to explore an extremely wide range of monthly, seasonal, and yearly
recreational activities from water skiing, sailing and white-water
rafting, to alpine skiing, snowboarding and dog sledding.
Locations
Our network of Counsellors, Program Coordinators and Clinical
Supervisors are located in various regions throughout Canada.
Venture Academy treatment and support services are provided in
real communities with no transition from an isolated or artificial
environment triggering a relapse.
