Invitation to Join the Venture Academy Youth Mental Health Advisory Committee

As part of Venture Academy’s commitment to supporting youth with mental health challenges, we are assembling a Youth Mental Health Advisory Committee to help shape impactful strategies, services, and resources for young people.

Venture Academy has long been dedicated to helping struggling youth through professional therapeutic support, education, and health and wellness strategies. As a long-standing live-in treatment option for vulnerable adolescents, we specialize in providing comprehensive care, therapeutic interventions, and opportunities for wellness to help young individuals navigate complex mental health challenges. Ensuring that mental health programming is accessible, effective, and responsive to their unique needs is our highest priority.

We are seeking participation from a diverse group of professionals and advocates, including:

  • Mental Health Clinicians (Psychologists, Therapists, Counselors, Social Workers) – Providing expertise on therapeutic approaches tailored to youth with complex needs.
  • Educators – Offering insights on integrating mental health support into academic environments for neurodiverse students.
  • Community Leaders – Strengthening outreach and partnerships to expand program accessibility.
  • Healthcare Administrators – Advising on service implementation and best practices for sustainability.
  • Youth Advocates – Ensuring that young voices are centered in program enhancement.
  • Parents & Caregivers – Sharing firsthand perspectives on family engagement and long-term support strategies.
  • Child Welfare Advocates – Bringing specialized knowledge of government systems that support youth in care, ensuring that mental health services address the unique challenges they face and align with provincial policies.
